Year 5 and 6 Shine at BANES Cross Country!

Our Year 5 and 6 children recently took part in the BANES Cross Country competition, running an impressive 1.4km course against over 70 competitors in each race. All our runners showed fantastic determination, resilience and sportsmanship, doing themselves and the school proud!

Representing Year 6 were Cole, Artem, Harry, Devon, Ada and Nessy. Our Year 5 team consisted of Kasper, Robbie, Charlie, Reuben, Florence, Marnie, Amelia and Elsie.

There were some outstanding individual performances, with Florence achieving a fantastic 2nd place, while Artem and Elsie also finished in the top five. An extra congratulations to all three, who have now qualified to represent BANES at the Avon Primary Schools Cross Country Championships in November!

Well done to everyone who took part. We are incredibly proud of all our runners and wish Florence, Artem and Elsie the very best of luck in the next round!
