Behaviour


In Term 3 2026, we launched our simplified rules to support clarity and consistency: Ready, Respectful, Safe. This is a shared language used by all adults and children in our school. We regularly refer to our rules throughout the school day and use class assembly time to discuss what each rule means and what good choices look like.
To compliment our school rules, we have also introduced Wonderful Walking and STAR Listening.
Wonderful Walking
Children have been taught (and are reminded) what Wonderful Walking is: Facing forward, straight and quiet. We use Wonderful Walking to help keep everyone safe in school and to make sure the learning of other children is not disrupted as people move around the school building. Wonderful Walking should also be used when children leave and enter the school building.
STAR Listening
Children have been taught the importance of STAR Listening and use it throughout the school day. This supports our Voice 21 ambitions – supporting pupils to be ready to listen and ready to share their ideas and understanding.
