Year 5 Basketball Tournament

Some of our Year 5 boys were in action on Thursday at the annual Year 5 Basketball Tournament.  We arrived in high spirits and the boys were clearly proud to be representing our school.  Throughout the tournament, the boys grew in confidence and started to develop a greater awareness of each other.  Although the results didn't always go our way, we were still treated to some excellent baskets by Hugo and Jasper; amazing centre play by Jeron and Charlie; fantastic ball control by Owen; and leadership from Seb.  The games were played competitively with superb sportsmanship.  The team learnt a lot throughout the tournament and will surely go on to greater success when they try out for next year's team.  The team would also like to give a shout-out to Jack and Jaylin (the other 2 members of the squad) who sadly missed the tournament through sickness.
