Art

Paulton Junior School aims to provide all children with a coherent, well-structured and enjoyable education in the Arts, which inspires awe and wonder, a sense of achievement and fosters a curiosity and a voice to comment on their experiences of the world around them. The potential for self-expression and sense of personal achievement in the Arts should be open and obtainable to all children.  

Throughout their time at PJS, all children will develop an Art based vocabulary. Learning specific language to support them as they are encouraged to comment on their own work, that of their peers and other artists, whilst also looking at specific art works. Through this process of providing them with the knowledge of artists’ work it is intended to act as a scaffold and as a reference for discussion relating to their work.
